One day, I was looking for new tudung for raya.. tudung awning la of course. But being tak sabar nak tunggu balik KL, and with idea from hubby that say all store might be already closed when we came back, I went hunting for tudung at Bukit Jambul Complex.. kat Penang la kan..
Then I came to this one store, which looks like they're having the most tudung - banyak sungguh and macam macam ada.. (This kedai is just a booth, being open) I found one that I like, and wanted to try on, as usual... this tudung awning is not like tudung bawal, you have to try it on your face to look whether it suits you or not.
But to my shock, the promoter girl yells "Ehhhh.. kak!!! Jangan.. tak boleh try" To my suprise i said "Hah?? tak leh try???"
Then the taukey came (whom I knew and have bought a lot from her before) "Ehh.. tak boleh try try, habiihhh rosak nanti dik oiii tudung mahai mahai ni... Ni Hajaba ni.. " (ike I never had Hajaba before)
(for your info, the tudung is RM45)
Then I said, "Laa.. kalau tak try mana nak tau sesuai ke tak.. Kena la tengok kat muka camana, sedap ke tak.. " Nicely, I think
Then the taukeh said "Haa.. kalau nak try ni kat kat tepi ni.. ada cermin ni.. cangkung la tepi ni kalau tak nak orang nampak"
MASHALLAH.. DOES SHE REALIZE WHAT SHE IS SAYING???? Her booth is an open booth, located in the atrium of a 6 storey complex.. 6 storey of people could see me open my tudung, and everyone shopping for raya could see me too!!!!!!!
Ini seriously salah concept!!! Dia jual tudung, untuk tutup aurat, tapi dia suruh plak kita bukak tudung open kat situ.. and i cant understand kenapa pulak tudung dia boleh rosak if I put it over my current tudung. It might be rosak too if terkena the earing yang canggih-canggih, or kena kutu ke.. ??????
I am so annoyed at that time and I say "La.. dekat Ariani, tudung sampai beratus ratus ringgit boleh je try macamana pun sesuka hati..."
She said " Ariani tu jual mahal, dapat untung berkali ganda.. sebab tu diorang tak kisah, jual satu pun dah untung giler"
And I totally more annoyed and figure out I should just leave. But before that I said "Hmm patut la Ariani laku, penuh kedai dengan orang even mahal mana pun tudung dia, diorang tu mesra pelanggan" and I just go
Only after that I realize.. patut la there's a lot of tudung in her kedai.. maybe tak laku kot.. I think it is not worth at all.. just to buy, I have to compromise my aurah.. If I dont buy, duit jimat, aurah selamat..
This is not to talk bad about this makcik, but I think this is a lesson.. to who ever selling apparels, please be sensitive towards buyer needs. It might help your business rather than ruining it.
